ACHIEVEMENTS
January 2025, NRF Student Program 2025 Recipient, Manhattan, NY
I had the opportunity to meet and greet with the retail industry’s most recognized brand representatives. Learned the importance of starting your own business. Networked with different students from all over the country. I especially loved learning about sustainability and how we can apply it to our field of interest.
October 2024: New Mexico State University Aggie Fashion Club,
I was tasked to organize the yearly Fashion Club Pop-Up Sale to raise awareness for our club and increase. We learned much about teamwork, resolving issues, and customer service. The event was a success because of the experience we gained and the amount of funding from previous years.
April 2023, I was interviewed and photographed by ICONICA Magazine of Albuquerque for dress I made entirely of recycled plastic grocery bags, for our school fashion program’s sustainable fashion show.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
March 2014 to 2017-Fundraising for Operation Rice Bowl, Catholic Relief Services, during the Lenten Season. My brother and I organized and executed the campaign that raised $4800 in four years through paper bowls. People were encouraged to sacrifice by depositing their “spare coins” or voluntarily giving up expenditures like going out to eat, coffee, the theatre, etc., and donating to Operation Rice Bowl. Funds were used to support the poorest areas of the world in programs such as: food, clean water, social justice, education and health.
